| May
we extend a warm welcome to our surgery. We take great pride in the quality
of dentistry and want to make your visit as pleasant an experience as possible.
Our
aim is good dental health for you and your family through restorative
and preventive dentistry, that means providing regular dental advice and
helping you understand how to care for your teeth yourself to reduce the
need for dental treatment. |
| We offer NHS services in all aspects of routine dentistry including orthodontic treatment for children to help improve the appearance of crowded or protruding teeth. We offer intravenous sedation for very nervous patients. Private cosmetic dentistry including crown and bridgework, veneers and whitening are also available and we'll be pleased to explain the options and costs. |
| When you arrange your first appointment, you'll be encouraged to tell us if you have any special needs. We are situated on the ground floor with only 2 small steps leading to the surgeries. If you have any worries about visiting the dentist, we can help you overcome the situation. |
After your teeth have been examined and a treatment plan has been agreed, you’ll be given a written estimate of the cost of work to be done. Our normal procedure is to pay a deposit before treatment, and when the dental care is complete a final payment will be required. If you qualify for free treatment under the NHS, we will be able to discuss the details and give you advice. Remember: if you are under 18 or 19 in full time education, you qualify for free NHS care. If you are worried about the cost of dental treatment or find any point about charges difficult to understand, please let us know. |
You can make
an appointment by telephone or you can call in to make arrangements. You’ll
find our regular appointment times below. If you need to be seen urgently,
telephone the surgery for advice. If treatment is essential, we will do
our best to arrange it within the next 24 hours. For emergencies out of
hours you should call the emergency number below. Please give us as much
notice as possible if you have to cancel an appointment. We might make
a charge if you do not give reasonable notice. Once your initial treatment
is complete, we encourage you to come back to the surgery at regular intervals
to see that everything is going well. Your next visit can be arranged
before you leave the surgery. |
