Dr Ramesh Parmar, founder of Parmar Dental, started his career in general dental practice in 1974. He has been a Clinical Fellow in Orthodontics at Southend Hospital for over 20 years and has taught and trained worldwide in all aspects of dentistry including oral surgery, CEREC 3D restorations, Invisalign orthodontic appliances, and Smile Design.
Dr Nilesh R. Parmar has a special interest in implant dentistry and dental sedation for nervous patients. In 2014, Nilesh was voted Young Dentist of the Year at the Dental Awards and Best Young Dentist in the East of England in 2009 at the Dentistry Awards. He is one of a few dentists in the UK to have a degree from all three London Dental Schools. Nilesh has a never-ending passion for his work, offering training and mentoring to dentists starting out in implant dentistry and readily accepts referrals for this procedure.
Dr Kanusha Naidu is a qualified dental surgeon who trained in South Africa and in the UK. Dr Naidu joined Parmar Dental in 2007 practicing general dentistry with a focus on restorative dentistry and facial aesthetics. Kanusha’s first priority is delivering the best treatment care for her patients and is continually updating her education and skills. Dr Naidu has achieved a Post Graduate Certificate in Restorative Dentistry from University College London and is trained in facial aesthetic treatments (including Botox and dermal fillers).
Alex qualified with honours from King’s College London dental school, having previously received a BSc with honours in business management, from Queen Mary University of London. She then went on to complete a year of vocational training with the East of England deanery where she worked for a busy mixed practice, before joining Parmar dental as an associate in September 2018. Alex enjoys practising all areas of general dentistry with a keen interest in preventative and minimally invasive techniques.
Outside of work Alex enjoys keeping fit, travelling, and socialising with friends.
Dr Nicole Ashraf recently qualified from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, and went on to complete her foundation training in Brentwood under the Essex scheme. She is committed to continuing professional development and is currently undertaking her MFDS examinations, whilst hoping also to further her skills through various courses. Nicole’s friendly and compassionate nature helps to put anxious and new patients at ease and aims to build positive patient experiences.
Imogen qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2016 with a degree in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. She believes prevention is key in dental treatment and enjoys helping patients to improve their oral health and understand the importance of it. Imogen is enthusiastic and invests a lot of time in to keeping her knowledge up-to-date.
In her spare time Imogen enjoys baking, crafting and has recently got back into playing netball
Qualifying from Liverpool Dental Hospital, Lorraine has been a dental nurse since 1990 working in various dental practices in the Liverpool area.
Lorraine has been fortunate enough to live in Chicago, USA for 16 years, and since her return in 2012 has worked as an honorary contract at Kings College NHS Trust assisting with the National Examining board for Dental Nurses.
Lorraine is married with 3 children.
Catherine joined Parmar Dental in 2015. She has been NEBDN qualified since 2011 and recently completed her training in dental sedation. She is currently studying orthodontics and has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry. Parmar Dental has given Catherine opportunities to further herself with training courses to learn different fields of dentistry; her next goal is to complete a radiography course.
In her spare time she enjoys photography and keeping fit.
Debbie has been Practice Manager at Parmar Dental for the past 5 years. She is a qualified dental nurse, is SAAD trained and has completed the NVQ level 5 course in dental practice management. She has very much enjoyed the challenge of being part of the practice refurbishment and development. She is looking forward to continuing to help build and expand on the future success of the practice.
Tonya has been working as a dental nurse since 1990 and qualified as an RDN in 1993.
She has been working at Parmar Dental since 2008 where she likes to keep her hand in with some nursing, but now mainly works on reception meeting and greeting patients. Tonya has a qualification in radiography and has completed the SAAD Part 1 course in conscious sedation.
